The Enemy Blog was selected to be part of a new advertising program done by Six Apart Media, the company that runs Typepad. Typepad, in case you don't know, is the company that provides the blogging services for The EB and thousands of other blogs.
I got the email last night, telling me we'd been chosen. I felt pretty honored.
I am not exactly sure how the program works. They sent me a link to create an ad space but I don't know where to put it on the page, or how to. I hope it isn't some big obnoxious pop-up that will make you nuts.
Regardless, once I figure out how to actually put the code into the EB, I will officially be on my way to becoming a professional blogger. The EB is quickly closing in on 19,500 hits and when it hits the 20 thousand mark I am going to have to take a step back and ponder exactly what it means to me that you guys have stuck with me through so much.
I know I say it all the time, but your comments and emails really are the fuel that drives this for me. I've made some good friends, some bad enemies, and been able to spread my ideas and philosphies to a larger audience.
A friend of mine who works for a state law enforcement agency recently wrote me to ask if he could use a portion of the Way of the Warrior Series for a class he is teaching to his agents. Obviously, I did not hesitate to say yes. My personal position has always been that if just one person finds something in The Enemy Blog that they can use, then it was all worth it.
I've never made any restrictions about re-publishing what I write here. Except for that one time I found an Enemy Blog quote on a coffee mug, attributed to "Anonymous." Grrrr...that still frosts me.
So, to everyone who reads the EB, thank you. To everyone who contributes, I invite you to continue as we push forward toward the realm of becoming a professional organization.
Also, I have notified Human Resources that we are now accepting applications for Guest Author. If you, or someone you know, would be interested in submitting an editorial to the great and glorious annals of Enemy Blog history, please send your inquiry to BtheEnemy@comcast.net That includes reviews of movies you see, music you hear, or thoughts on politics, etc.
And in celebration of our upcoming ascention into the pro-blogosphere, and our 20,000th hit, I am going to let you in on a little secret. A little glimpse into my private life that I am going to be writing about in the near future.
Ready?
The Enemy is a member of an official secret-society. Shhhhhh. That's right. I'm part of the group that secretly controls the world. I'd keep checking back if I were you.

Congats Bud!!! No doubt in my mind that you could do it. I see you found that gas station! I am anxious to see what you have in store for us. I am proud of you on the Advertising Program. Hey, You never know where that may lead you with blogging. Congrats again!
